‘গিলেছে’ হলো ‘গেলা/গিলে নেওয়া’ ক্রিয়ার অতীত কালের (সম্পন্ন/সম্পূর্ণ) রূপ; কাউকে/কিছুতে খাদ্য, ওষুধ বা কোনো বস্তু মুখ দিয়ে ভেতরে নিয়ে গলাধঃকরণ করার কাজ সম্পন্ন হওয়াকে বোঝায়; কথ্য ভাষায় ‘গ্রাস করেছে/ঢেকে ফেলেছে/ধ্বংস করেছে’ অর্থেও রূপকভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়
