অসুস্থতা, বদহজম, বিষক্রিয়া, গর্ভাবস্থা বা মাথা ঘোরা ইত্যাদি কারণে পাকস্থলীর ভেতরের বস্তু অনিচ্ছাকৃতভাবে মুখ দিয়ে বেরিয়ে আসাকে ‘বমি করা’ বলা হয়
