From Latin emulsum (something milked out) via modern scientific Latin/English emulsion, ultimately from emulgēre ‘to milk out’; emulsive formed with the adjectival suffix -ive.
लैटिन emulsum (दूध निकालकर प्राप्त) से—आधुनिक वैज्ञानिक लैटिन/अंग्रेज़ी emulsion के माध्यम से; मूल क्रिया emulgēre ‘दूध निकालना’। emulsive शब्द -ive प्रत्यय से बना विशेषण है।
Definition
Describing a substance (often an oil, resin, or pharmaceutical preparation) that can form or help form an emulsion—a stable mixture of two normally non-mixing liquids such as oil and water.
ऐसा पदार्थ (अक्सर तेल, रेज़िन, या औषधीय तैयारी) जिसका गुण इमल्शन बनाना या इमल्शन बनने में सहायता करना हो—यानी दो सामान्यतः न मिलने वाले द्रव (जैसे तेल और पानी) का स्थिर मिश्रण।
