Definition
Nimbation refers to the depiction or presence of a halo (nimbus)—a radiant ring or cloud of light—around the head of a sacred or revered figure, especially in Christian and Buddhist iconography; it can also mean the act of adding such a halo in art.
নিম্বেশন বলতে বোঝায় কোনো পবিত্র/সম্মানিত ব্যক্তির মাথার চারপাশে আলোকোজ্জ্বল আভা বা বলয় (হ্যালো/নিম্বাস) দেখানো বা থাকা—বিশেষত খ্রিস্টীয় ও বৌদ্ধ ধর্মীয় শিল্পে; শিল্পকর্মে এমন হ্যালো যোগ করার ক্রিয়াটিও এতে বোঝাতে পারে।
