‘পর’ (অন্য/ভিন্ন) + ‘দেশ’ (ভূখণ্ড/রাষ্ট্র) শব্দযুগল থেকে গঠিত; ‘পরদেশ’ অর্থ ‘বিদেশ’, আর লোকেটিভ বিভক্তি ‘-এ’ যোগে ‘পরদেশে’

Formed from ‘পর’ (other/different) + ‘দেশ’ (country/land); ‘পরদেশ’ means ‘foreign country’, and with the locative suffix ‘-এ’ it becomes ‘পরদেশে’ meaning ‘in/abroad’
