Definition
The maxilla is the upper jawbone (one on each side) forming the upper jaw, supporting the upper teeth, and contributing to the hard palate, nasal cavity, and eye socket (orbit).
मैक्सिला ऊपरी जबड़े की हड्डी है (दोनों ओर एक-एक), जो ऊपरी जबड़ा बनाती है, ऊपरी दाँतों को सहारा देती है और कठोर तालू, नासिका गुहा तथा नेत्रगह्वर (ऑर्बिट) के निर्माण में योगदान करती है।
