Mandible refers to the lower jawbone that holds the lower teeth and moves to help with chewing and speaking; in insects, it means the hard jawlike mouthparts used to bite or cut food.
Mandible का अर्थ निचला जबड़ा (जबड़े की हड्डी) है, जिसमें नीचे के दाँत लगे होते हैं और जो चबाने व बोलने में मदद करता है; कीटों में यह काटने/चबाने के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाले कठोर जबड़ेनुमा मुखांग (mouthparts) को भी कहते हैं।
