Definition
Westernisation refers to changes in a society or individual brought about by adopting Western ideas, customs, technology, political systems, or ways of life, sometimes intentionally and sometimes through globalization or cultural contact.
পশ্চিমায়ন বলতে কোনো সমাজ বা ব্যক্তির মধ্যে পাশ্চাত্য ধারণা, রীতি-নীতি, প্রযুক্তি, রাজনৈতিক ব্যবস্থা বা জীবনধারা গ্রহণের ফলে যে পরিবর্তন ঘটে—তা বোঝায়; এটি কখনও সচেতনভাবে, আবার কখনও বিশ্বায়ন বা সাংস্কৃতিক সংস্পর্শের মাধ্যমে ঘটে।
