From Greek paidagōgía (education/instruction), from paidagōgós ‘a tutor/guide of a child’, from paîs/paid- ‘child’ + agōgós ‘leader, guide’; later via Latin and modern European usage; British spelling variant of pedagogy.
গ্রিক paidagōgía (শিক্ষা/শিক্ষাদান) থেকে উদ্ভূত; এর মূল paidagōgós অর্থ ‘শিশুর শিক্ষক/পথপ্রদর্শক’, যা paîs/paid- ‘শিশু’ + agōgós ‘নেতা/পথপ্রদর্শক’ থেকে গঠিত; পরে লাতিন ও আধুনিক ইউরোপীয় ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে ইংরেজিতে আসে; paedagogy হলো pedagogy-এর ব্রিটিশ বানানরূপ।

Paedagogy refers to the science and art of teaching—how learning is designed, delivered, and assessed, including teaching methods, classroom practice, curriculum design, and how learners develop.
Paedagogy বলতে শিক্ষাদানের বিজ্ঞান ও শিল্পকে বোঝায়—কীভাবে শেখানো পরিকল্পিত হয়, পরিচালিত হয় এবং মূল্যায়িত হয়; এর মধ্যে পাঠদানের পদ্ধতি, শ্রেণিকক্ষ-চর্চা, পাঠ্যক্রম নকশা এবং শিক্ষার্থীর শেখার বিকাশ অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
