Origin & History
From the verb normalise (also spelled normalize), formed from normal + -ise/-ize; normal comes via French from Latin normalis (‘made according to a carpenter’s square’, hence ‘according to rule/standard’).
normalise/normalize ক্রিয়াপদ থেকে (normal + -ise/-ize); normal শব্দটি ফরাসি হয়ে লাতিন normalis থেকে এসেছে, যার অর্থ ছিল ‘কারিগরের স্কোয়ার/কাঠামোর নিয়ম অনুযায়ী তৈরি’, পরে অর্থ হয়েছে ‘নিয়ম/মান অনুযায়ী’।
Definition
Normalising means making something conform to a normal or standard state, or adjusting data/measurements so they can be fairly compared on the same scale (e.g., in statistics, databases, or signal processing).
Normalising বলতে কোনো কিছুকে স্বাভাবিক/মানক অবস্থায় আনা বোঝায়, অথবা তথ্য/পরিমাপকে এমনভাবে সমন্বয় করা যাতে একই স্কেলে রেখে ন্যায্যভাবে তুলনা করা যায় (যেমন পরিসংখ্যান, ডেটাবেস বা সিগন্যাল প্রসেসিংয়ে)।
