Origin & History
From north + bound (“going toward; headed for”), with bound ultimately from Old English bunden (“bound, tied; ready/obliged”), later used in the sense “destined/heading for.”
north (উত্তর) + bound (কোনো দিকে যাত্রারত/গমনমুখী) থেকে গঠিত; bound শব্দটি পুরনো ইংরেজি bunden (“বাঁধা/আবদ্ধ; বাধ্য/প্রস্তুত”) থেকে এসেছে এবং পরে “কোনো গন্তব্যের দিকে রওনা/নিয়ত” অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
