Formed from the Sanskrit negative prefix ‘a-’ (not) + ‘pāṭhya’ (readable/fit to be read)

Definition

যে লেখা/পাঠ্য অত্যন্ত অস্পষ্ট, জটিল বা বিকৃত হওয়ায় পড়া বা বোঝা কঠিন—তাকে ‘অপাঠ্য’ বলা হয়; আবার নৈতিক/রুচিগত কারণে পড়ার অযোগ্য বলেও বোঝায়

Something that cannot be read or is very hard to read/understand because it is unclear, overly complex, or distorted; it can also mean ‘unfit to read’ on moral or taste grounds
