‘ওই’ শব্দটি সাধারণত বক্তার কাছ থেকে কিছুটা দূরে থাকা মানুষ, বস্তু বা স্থানকে দেখিয়ে বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়; কথোপকথনে নির্দেশক (demonstrative) হিসেবে ‘that/that one/over there’ অর্থ প্রকাশ করে
‘ওই’ is commonly used to point out a person, object, or place at some distance from the speaker; as a demonstrative in conversation it conveys the sense of “that/that one/over there.”
