বাংলা ক্রিয়া ‘দাঁড়ানো’ (দণ্ডায়মান থাকা) থেকে ‘-আনি’ প্রত্যয়যোগে গঠিত; অর্থে দাঁড়ানোর অবস্থা বা দাঁড় করানোর উপকরণ বোঝায়
