‘বাদ’ শব্দটি আরবি ‘بَعْض (ba‘ḍ)’/‘بعض’ ধারা থেকে ফারসি-উর্দু পথ হয়ে বাংলায় এসে ‘কিছু অংশ বাদ/অপসৃত’ অর্থে প্রচলিত; ‘দিচ্ছে’ হলো বাংলা ক্রিয়া ‘দেওয়া’-র বর্তমান ক্রিয়মান রূপ।
‘বাদ’ entered Bengali via Persian/Urdu influence from an Arabic root/word-family (بعض / بَعْض), used in the sense of ‘omitted/left out’; ‘দিচ্ছে’ is the present continuous form of the Bengali verb ‘দেওয়া’ (to give), forming the compound verb meaning ‘to omit/exclude’.

‘বাদ দিচ্ছে’ বলতে বোঝায় কাউকে/কিছুকে তালিকা, পরিকল্পনা, হিসাব, আলোচ্য বিষয় বা প্রক্রিয়া থেকে ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে বাদ রাখা বা অপসারণ করা হচ্ছে—অর্থাৎ অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হচ্ছে না।
‘বাদ দিচ্ছে’ means someone is intentionally leaving out, omitting, or excluding a person/thing from a list, plan, calculation, discussion, or process—i.e., it is not being included.
