Tropical describes things connected with the tropics—the warm belt of Earth between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn—typically having hot, often humid weather and characteristic plants and fruits; it can also mean figurative (using tropes) or, in mathematics, related to tropical geometry.
