From race + course; course in the sense of a running track, from Old French 'cours' (running), ultimately from Latin 'cursus'.
'race' + 'course' से बना; यहाँ 'course' का अर्थ दौड़ने का ट्रैक है, जो पुरानी फ़्रांसीसी 'cours' (दौड़) से और अंततः लैटिन 'cursus' से आया है।
Definition
Racecourses are specially prepared tracks and surrounding facilities where organized races (most commonly horse races, and sometimes other types of racing) take place, often including grandstands, betting areas, and training grounds.
रेसकोर्स वे विशेष रूप से तैयार किए गए ट्रैक और उनसे जुड़ी सुविधाएँ हैं जहाँ संगठित दौड़ें (अधिकतर घुड़दौड़, और कभी-कभी अन्य प्रकार की रेसिंग) कराई जाती हैं; इनमें प्रायः दर्शक-दीर्घा, सट्टा/बेटिंग क्षेत्र और प्रशिक्षण मैदान शामिल होते हैं।
