Definition
“Plague” can mean the historical bubonic plague caused by Yersinia pestis, any severe epidemic, a widespread disaster seen as a curse, or (informally) a person/thing that constantly annoys; as a verb it means to pester repeatedly or to afflict with disease or misfortune.
