From Greek nekros “dead body” + opsis “seeing, view,” via Modern Latin/medical New Latin necropsia, meaning “viewing a dead body.”
यह यूनानी nekros (मृत शरीर) + opsis (देखना/दृष्टि) से बना है; चिकित्सा-लैटिन/नव-लैटिन necropsia के माध्यम से, जिसका अर्थ है “मृत शरीर को देखकर जाँच करना।”
Definition
A necropsy is a medical examination of a dead body, usually involving dissection, performed to find the cause of death and to study disease or injury (often used especially for animals; for humans, the common term is autopsy).
नेक्रोप्सी मृत शरीर की चिकित्सकीय जाँच (अक्सर चीरा-फाड़ सहित) है, जो मृत्यु का कारण जानने और रोग/चोट का अध्ययन करने के लिए की जाती है (यह शब्द विशेषकर पशुओं के लिए अधिक प्रचलित है; मानव के लिए सामान्य शब्द ‘ऑटोप्सी/शवपरीक्षा’ है)।
