Definition
In algebra, a monomial is one term such as 5x²y or −3a, formed by multiplying a number (coefficient) and variables raised to whole-number powers; it is the basic building block of polynomials.
बीजगणित में मोनोमियल (एकपद) एक ही पद वाला व्यंजक होता है, जैसे 5x²y या −3a, जो किसी संख्या (गुणांक) और चरों के गुणन से बनता है तथा चरों की घातें शून्य या धनात्मक पूर्णांक होती हैं; यह बहुपदों का मूल घटक है।
