From mal- (“badly”) + function, modeled on French malfonction; first recorded in English in the early 20th century.
mal- (अर्थ: ‘बुरी तरह/खराब’) + function (कार्य/क्रिया) से बना, फ्रेंच malfonction के समान रूप; अंग्रेज़ी में इसका प्रथम प्रयोग 20वीं सदी के प्रारम्भ में मिलता है।
Definition
Malfunctions are instances when a machine, device, system, or process does not work as intended, often causing errors, stoppages, or unsafe behavior.
