A hip-roof is a type of roof in which all sides slope downward from the top, typically giving better stability in high winds and allowing water to run off on all sides.
हिप-रूफ (कूल्हेदार/कूल्हे वाली छत) ऐसी छत होती है जिसकी सभी भुजाएँ ऊपर से नीचे की ओर ढलान वाली होती हैं; इसमें गेबिल (सीधे/खड़े) सिरे नहीं होते, यह तेज़ हवा में अधिक स्थिर रहती है और पानी चारों ओर आसानी से बह जाता है।
