Definition
A foothold is (1) a firm place for your foot to grip or stand on, especially when climbing or on slippery/steep ground, and (2) an established, secure position (in business, politics, or influence) from which it is hard to be displaced.
Foothold का अर्थ है (1) ऐसा मज़बूत सहारा/पकड़ जहाँ पैर टिक सके, विशेषकर चढ़ाई या फिसलन/ढलान वाली जगह पर, और (2) किसी क्षेत्र (जैसे व्यापार, राजनीति, प्रभाव) में बनाई हुई मज़बूत/स्थिर स्थिति, जिसे हटाना कठिन हो।
