Definition
Foot primarily means the part of the body at the end of the leg, below the ankle, used for standing, walking, and balance; it can also mean a unit of length (12 inches/30.48 cm), the base of an object (e.g., the foot of a mountain), a level or stage (to get a foot on the ladder), and in poetry, a metrical unit (a foot).
