Definition
Fluorescent describes something that gives off visible light after absorbing energy (especially ultraviolet), and it is also used for very bright, glowing colors or for lamps that work by fluorescence.
फ्लोरेसेंट (दीप्तिमान/प्रदीप्त) उस चीज़ को कहते हैं जो ऊर्जा (खासकर पराबैंगनी) सोखकर दृश्यमान प्रकाश छोड़ती है; यह बहुत चमकीले, चमकते रंगों तथा फ्लोरेसेंट लैम्प/ट्यूब लाइट के लिए भी प्रयुक्त होता है।
