लैटिन extremus (“सबसे बाहरी/सबसे दूर”) से, पुरानी फ़्रेंच extreme के माध्यम से; “extremes”, “extreme” का बहुवचन रूप है।
Definition
“Extremes” refers to the most distant or most intense points on a scale (like hot vs. cold), or to actions/conditions taken to an excessive degree beyond normal limits; in mathematics it also means the first and last terms in a proportion.
“Extremes” का अर्थ किसी पैमाने के सबसे दूर/सबसे तीव्र बिंदुओं (जैसे बहुत गर्म या बहुत ठंडा) से है, या फिर सामान्य सीमा से बहुत आगे जाकर किए गए अतिशय/कट्टर कदमों या स्थितियों से; गणित में यह अनुपात के पहले और आख़िरी पद (extremes) को भी दर्शाता है।
