Origin & History
From eugenic + -ally; eugenic derives from eugenics (coined in the late 19th century by Francis Galton), from Greek eu- ‘good’ + -genēs ‘born’.
eugenic + -ally से बना; eugenic शब्द eugenics से आया (19वीं सदी के अंत में फ्रांसिस गैल्टन द्वारा प्रचलित), जिसका मूल यूनानी eu- ‘अच्छा’ + -genēs ‘जन्मा/उत्पन्न’ है।
Definition
In a manner connected with eugenics, i.e., ideas or actions intended to influence reproduction to increase traits considered desirable and reduce those considered undesirable; often used critically because such approaches have been linked to coercion, discrimination, and human-rights abuses.
