From Greek eu- (“good, well”) + genesis (“origin, creation”), used in scientific/technical English; distinct from the more common word eugenics.
यह यूनानी उपसर्ग eu- (अर्थ: “अच्छा/उचित”) + genesis (अर्थ: “उत्पत्ति/सृजन”) से बना वैज्ञानिक/तकनीकी शब्द है; यह अधिक प्रचलित ‘eugenics’ (यूजीनिक्स) से अलग है।
Definition
Eugenesis refers to the process of coming into being or being generated, especially the development or origin of living organisms; it is sometimes used in biological or older scientific writing to mean “good/normal origin or development.”
यूजेनिसिस का अर्थ किसी व्यक्ति/जीव/जीवों के समूह का उत्पन्न होना या विकास होना है; विशेषकर जैविक संदर्भ में उत्पत्ति या निर्माण की प्रक्रिया। कभी-कभी पुराने/वैज्ञानिक लेखन में इसे “अच्छी/सामान्य उत्पत्ति या विकास” के अर्थ में भी प्रयोग किया गया है।
