Definition
Burlesque refers to a humorous imitation that exaggerates a subject to mock it, and it also names a theatrical entertainment tradition combining parody, satire, music/dance, and sometimes striptease (especially in modern American usage).
Burlesque का अर्थ है किसी विषय की हास्यपूर्ण नकल, जिसमें उसे बढ़ा-चढ़ाकर प्रस्तुत करके मज़ाक या व्यंग्य किया जाता है; यह एक नाट्य/मंचीय मनोरंजन परंपरा का नाम भी है जिसमें पैरोडी, व्यंग्य, गीत-नृत्य और कभी-कभी स्ट्रिपटीज़ (विशेषकर आधुनिक अमेरिकी प्रयोग में) शामिल हो सकते हैं।
