From Middle English bowman, formed from bow + man, meaning “a man who uses a bow (archer)”; later extended in nautical use to a man at the bow.
मध्य अंग्रेज़ी के bowman से, जो bow (धनुष) + man (आदमी) से बना है, अर्थ “धनुष चलाने वाला व्यक्ति (धनुर्धर)”; बाद में नौवहन में ‘प्रौव (bow) पर तैनात आदमी’ के अर्थ में भी प्रयोग हुआ।
Definition
A bowman is someone skilled in using a bow to shoot arrows, especially an archer in hunting, war, or sport; historically it can also mean a crewman positioned at the front (bow) of a boat or ship.
बॉउमैन वह व्यक्ति है जो धनुष से तीर चलाने में निपुण होता है, विशेषकर शिकार, युद्ध या खेल में; ऐतिहासिक रूप से इसका अर्थ नाव/जहाज़ के आगे वाले भाग (प्रौव/बो) पर तैनात नाविक भी हो सकता है।
