यह body + work का संयुक्त शब्द है; पहले इसका प्रयोग वाहन की बॉडी से संबंधित काम/मरम्मत के लिए हुआ, बाद में इसका अर्थ मानव शरीर पर हाथों से की जाने वाली थेरपी तक विस्तृत हो गया।
Definition
Bodywork most commonly means the outer panels/structure of a car (doors, fenders, hood, etc.), and also the repair/restoration of that exterior (dents, paint, panel replacement). In some contexts it also means hands-on physical therapies (e.g., massage, myofascial release) used for prevention or wellbeing.
Bodywork का अर्थ प्रायः कार/वाहन की बाहरी बॉडी (दरवाज़े, फेंडर, बोनट आदि) और उसकी मरम्मत/पुनर्स्थापन (डेंट ठीक करना, पेंट, पैनल बदलना) होता है। कुछ संदर्भों में यह शरीर पर हाथों से की जाने वाली थेरपी (जैसे मसाज, मायोफैशियल रिलीज़) के लिए भी प्रयुक्त होता है, जो रोकथाम या स्वास्थ्य-कल्याण हेतु की जाती है।
