Barbecue refers to (1) an outdoor grill/pit (often using charcoal or wood) used to cook food with direct heat or smoke; (2) a social meal/event where such food is cooked and eaten; and (3) the smoked/grilled meat itself (especially pork or beef).
Barbecue का अर्थ (1) बाहर खाना पकाने के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाली ग्रिल/गड्ढा/भट्ठी (अक्सर कोयला या लकड़ी पर) जिसमें सीधे ताप या धुएँ से खाना पकाया जाता है; (2) ऐसी ही खाना-पकाई और खाने पर आधारित पार्टी/समारोह; और (3) उसी तरह पकाया हुआ (धुआँ देकर/ग्रिल करके) मांस, विशेषकर सूअर या बीफ़ का मांस।
