From the verb “amnesty,” ultimately from Greek “amnēstia” meaning “forgetfulness” (from “a-” ‘not’ + “mnēsis” ‘memory’), via Late Latin and French; the English verb sense developed from the noun.

Definition
“Amnestied” means someone has been officially forgiven by the state or authority for an offense (often political), so they are not punished or prosecuted for it.
“Amnestied” का अर्थ है कि किसी व्यक्ति को राज्य/प्राधिकरण द्वारा किसी अपराध (अक्सर राजनीतिक) के लिए आधिकारिक रूप से क्षमा/माफी दे दी गई है, इसलिए उसे दंडित नहीं किया जाता या उसके खिलाफ अभियोजन नहीं चलता।
