গ্রিক zôion অর্থ ‘প্রাণী’ এবং -phily অর্থ ‘ভালোবাসা/অনুরাগ’ থেকে উদ্ভূত; উনিশ শতকের শেষভাগ থেকে বৈজ্ঞানিক ইংরেজিতে ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
Zoophily most commonly means a sexual attraction to animals (a paraphilia), and it is distinct from bestiality (the act). In biology, zoophily also refers to the pollination of flowers by animals such as insects, birds, or bats.
জুফিলি বলতে সাধারণত প্রাণীর প্রতি যৌন আকর্ষণ/আসক্তিকে (এক ধরনের প্যারাফিলিয়া) বোঝায়, এবং এটি ‘বেস্টিয়ালিটি’ (কার্য/কর্ম) থেকে আলাদা। জীববিজ্ঞানে ‘জুফিলি’ বলতে মৌমাছি, পাখি বা বাদুড়ের মতো প্রাণীর মাধ্যমে ফুলের পরাগায়ণকেও বোঝায়।
