“থ্রটল” ক্রিয়া থেকে (ইঞ্জিনের শক্তি নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা; আগে ‘গলা টিপে ধরা/শ্বাসরোধ করা’ অর্থেও), যা মধ্য ইংরেজির “থ্রোট/থ্রোট (throat=গলা)” সম্পর্কিত শব্দধারা থেকে এসেছে। -ing রূপটি কাজ/প্রক্রিয়াকে বোঝায়।
Definition
“Throttling” means deliberately limiting or reducing the rate/flow of something (like an engine’s power, a network’s bandwidth, or a fluid’s flow) to control performance or prevent overload; it can also mean strangling/choking someone or being choked.
“থ্রটলিং” বলতে কোনো কিছুর হার/প্রবাহ ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে সীমিত বা কমানো বোঝায় (যেমন ইঞ্জিনের শক্তি, নেটওয়ার্কের ব্যান্ডউইথ, বা তরলের প্রবাহ) যাতে কর্মক্ষমতা নিয়ন্ত্রণ বা অতিরিক্ত চাপ/জ্যাম এড়ানো যায়; এছাড়া কাউকে শ্বাসরোধ/গলা টিপে ধরা বা নিজে দমবন্ধ হওয়াকেও বোঝাতে পারে।
