মধ্য ইংরেজি “throtel/throtle” (গলা/শ্বাসনালী) থেকে, এবং “throttle” ক্রিয়াটি “গলা চেপে শ্বাসরোধ করা” অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হত; পরে যান্ত্রিক অর্থে প্রবাহ/শক্তি নিয়ন্ত্রণ (যেমন ইঞ্জিনের থ্রটল) বোঝাতেও বিস্তৃত হয়।
Definition
“Throttles” can mean (1) limits or controls something (like speed, power, data, or effort) by reducing flow or intensity; (2) chokes/strangles by squeezing the throat; or (3) refers to multiple throttle controls/devices.
“Throttles” বলতে বোঝাতে পারে (১) কোনো কিছুর গতি/ক্ষমতা/ডেটা/তীব্রতা কমিয়ে নিয়ন্ত্রণ বা সীমিত করা; (২) গলা চেপে শ্বাসরোধ/শ্বাস আটকে দেওয়া; অথবা (৩) থ্রটল নিয়ন্ত্রণযন্ত্র/লিভার/ভালভের বহুবচন।
