From Italian stanza (“a stopping place; room; stanza of a poem”), from Latin stantia (“standing place”), from stare (“to stand”).
ইতালীয় stanza শব্দ থেকে (অর্থ: “থামার স্থান; কক্ষ; কবিতার স্তবক”), যা লাতিন stantia (“দাঁড়ানোর স্থান”) এবং stare (“দাঁড়ানো”) থেকে এসেছে।
Definition
Stanzas are separate sections of a poem or song, each made up of a set number of lines, often following a repeated rhythm (meter) and sometimes rhyme.
স্ট্যানজা (পদ্যখণ্ড/স্তবক) হলো কবিতা বা গানের আলাদা আলাদা অংশ, যেখানে নির্দিষ্ট সংখ্যক পঙ্ক্তি থাকে এবং প্রায়ই একই ধরনের ছন্দ (মাত্রা) ও কখনও তালের মতো মিল (রাইম) অনুসরণ করা হয়।
