‘সন্ধান’ শব্দটি সংস্কৃত ‘সন্ধান’ (অর্থ: খোঁজ/অনুসন্ধান, অনুসরণ) থেকে এসেছে; ‘করছে’ হলো বাংলা ক্রিয়া ‘করা’-র বর্তমান চলমান রূপ—একসাথে ‘সন্ধান করছে’ মানে ‘খুঁজে দেখার কাজটি চলছে’
