Definition

অপরাধ, নিয়মভঙ্গ বা ভুল কাজের জন্য কর্তৃপক্ষ/আইন/সমাজ যে দণ্ড বা কষ্টদায়ক ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করে (যেমন জরিমানা, কারাদণ্ড, তিরস্কার ইত্যাদি) তাকে শাস্তি বলা হয়
