From Middle English tagge/tag, of uncertain origin; related senses developed for a dangling piece of cloth and later an identifying label.
मध्य अंग्रेज़ी tagge/tag से; मूल अनिश्चित माना जाता है; पहले ढीले/लटकते कपड़े के टुकड़े के अर्थ से और बाद में पहचान वाले लेबल (टैग) के अर्थ का विकास हुआ।
Definition
A tag is a small label (paper/cloth/plastic) fastened to an item to identify it, show its name/price, or provide information; as a verb it means to attach a label, to mark or assign a description, or to touch someone briefly (as in the game).
टैग किसी वस्तु पर पहचान, नाम/कीमत या जानकारी बताने के लिए लगाया गया छोटा लेबल (कागज़/कपड़ा/प्लास्टिक) होता है; क्रिया के रूप में इसका अर्थ लेबल लगाना, किसी को/चीज़ को चिह्नित या वर्गीकृत करना, या हल्का छूना (जैसे खेल में) भी होता है।
