sub- (अर्थ: ‘अधीन/द्वितीय’) + editor (संपादक) से बना; मुख्यतः ब्रिटिश पत्रकारिता में प्रचलित, बाद में अन्य जगहों पर भी उपयोग।
Definition
A subeditor (often written as sub-editor) is a member of an editorial team who rewrites and polishes text, corrects grammar and style, verifies details, writes headlines/captions, and ensures content fits house style and space before publication.
सबएडिटर (जिसे sub-editor भी लिखा जाता है) संपादकीय टीम का वह सदस्य होता है जो लेखन को सुधारता/पुनर्लेखन करता है, व्याकरण व शैली ठीक करता है, तथ्यों की जाँच करता है, हेडलाइन/कैप्शन लिखता है और प्रकाशित करने से पहले सामग्री को संस्थान की शैली व स्थान/लेआउट के अनुसार तैयार करता है।
