Definition
A copyeditor reviews text before publication to correct errors (grammar, spelling, punctuation), enforce a style guide, improve clarity and consistency, and sometimes flag factual issues, while usually not changing the author’s core ideas.
कॉपीएडिटर प्रकाशन से पहले पाठ की जाँच करता/करती है—व्याकरण, वर्तनी, विराम-चिह्न की गलतियाँ सुधारता/सुधारती है, शैली-मार्गदर्शिका लागू करता/करती है, स्पष्टता व एकरूपता बढ़ाता/बढ़ाती है, और कभी-कभी तथ्यात्मक त्रुटियाँ भी चिन्हित करता/करती है—आमतौर पर लेखक के मूल विचार बदले बिना।
