From social + -ize, formed in the early 19th century; related to French socialiser and rooted in Latin socius (“companion, ally”).
social + -ize से बना शब्द, 19वीं सदी की शुरुआत में प्रचलित; फ्रेंच socialiser से संबंधित, और लैटिन socius (“साथी/मित्र/सहयोगी”) से मूल।
Definition
To spend time with other people in a friendly way; also, to make an activity, service, or system more oriented to the needs of society, and in sociology to teach someone social norms and acceptable behavior.
लोगों के साथ मित्रतापूर्ण ढंग से समय बिताना; साथ ही किसी गतिविधि/सेवा/व्यवस्था को समाज की जरूरतों के अनुरूप अधिक सामाजिक बनाना, और समाजशास्त्र में किसी व्यक्ति को सामाजिक मानदंड व स्वीकार्य व्यवहार सिखाकर समाजीकरण करना।
