Modern English formation from the verb sculpt + the suffix -able (“capable of being”). Sculpt comes from Latin sculptus, past participle of sculpere (“to carve”).
आधुनिक अंग्रेज़ी में sculpt क्रिया + -able प्रत्यय (“जिसे किया जा सके/योग्य”) से बना शब्द। sculpt लैटिन sculptus (sculpere “तराशना/उकेरना” का भूतपूर्व कृदंत) से आया है।
Definition
Describes a material or substance that can be shaped, carved, or molded into a form (for example, clay, wax, or soft stone). It may also be used figuratively for something that can be improved or refined through effort.
ऐसे पदार्थ या सामग्री के लिए प्रयुक्त शब्द जिसे तराशकर, काटकर या ढालकर कोई आकृति दी जा सके (जैसे मिट्टी, मोम, या नरम पत्थर)। कभी-कभी रूपक रूप में भी—जिसे प्रयास से सुधार/परिष्कृत किया जा सके।
