From re- (again) + cap; originally "to cap again" (seal with a cap again), later also used in US English for fitting a new "cap"/tread to a tire; the sense "summary" comes from the idea of "recapitulation" (re- + Latin caput ‘head’).
re- (फिर से) + cap (ढक्कन) से; प्रारम्भिक अर्थ था "फिर से ढक्कन लगाना/सील करना"। बाद में अमेरिकी अंग्रेज़ी में टायर पर नया "कवर/ट्रेड" लगाकर रिट्रीड करने के लिए भी प्रयोग हुआ। "सारांश" वाला अर्थ "recapitulation" (re- + लैटिन caput ‘सिर/मुख्य बिंदु’) की अवधारणा से विकसित हुआ।
Definition
In common modern use, "recap" means to briefly summarize the main points again (often after a talk, meeting, lesson, or episode). It can also mean to put a cap on again, and in US English it refers to retreading a tire (or a tire that has been retreaded).
आधुनिक सामान्य प्रयोग में "recap" का अर्थ होता है मुख्य बातों का संक्षेप में फिर से सार बताना (जैसे भाषण, मीटिंग, पाठ या एपिसोड के बाद)। इसका अर्थ फिर से ढक्कन लगाना भी हो सकता है, और अमेरिकी अंग्रेज़ी में यह टायर पर नया ट्रेड चिपकाकर/लगाकर उसे रिट्रीड करना (या ऐसा रिट्रीड किया हुआ टायर) भी दर्शाता है।
