Definition
In linguistics, proclisis is the attachment (or close phonological dependence) of a clitic or unstressed word to the word that follows it; the clitic leans forward, often affecting stress and pronunciation.
भाषाविज्ञान में, प्रॉक्लिसिस वह स्थिति है जिसमें कोई क्लिटिक या अविकसित/अबल शब्द अपने बाद आने वाले शब्द से चिपककर (ध्वन्यात्मक रूप से निर्भर होकर) उच्चरित/व्यवहारित होता है; यह आगे ‘झुक’ जाता है और अक्सर ज़ोर (stress) व उच्चारण को प्रभावित करता है।
