Origin & History
Originally (mid-19th century) a writer’s work produced simply to “keep the pot boiling” (i.e., earn money for basic living costs); later applied especially to commercial novels and films.
मूलतः (19वीं सदी के मध्य) ऐसी रचना जो बस “हांडी/बर्तन को उबलता रखने” यानी घर-खर्च चलाने के लिए कमाई कराने हेतु बनाई जाए; बाद में विशेषकर व्यावसायिक उपन्यासों और फ़िल्मों के लिए प्रयुक्त।
