Planoconvex describes an optical surface or lens with one side flat (plane) and the other side curved outward (convex), commonly used to focus or collimate light in optical instruments.
प्लैनो-कन्वेक्स (planoconvex) ऐसे प्रकाशीय पृष्ठ या लेंस को कहते हैं जिसकी एक सतह समतल (plane) होती है और दूसरी सतह बाहर की ओर उभरी (convex) होती है; इसका उपयोग अक्सर प्रकाश को फोकस करने या समांतर (collimate) करने में किया जाता है।
