plano- (लैटिन planus ‘समतल’) + concave (लैटिन concavus ‘अंदर से खोखला/धँसा हुआ’) से बना शब्द।
Definition
Planoconcave describes an optical shape in which one surface is flat (plane) and the opposite surface curves inward (concave), commonly referring to a lens that typically diverges (spreads) light rays.
प्लैनोकोनकेव (planoconcave) एक ऐसी प्रकाशीय आकृति/लेंस को दर्शाता है जिसमें एक सतह समतल (plane) होती है और दूसरी सतह अंदर की ओर धँसी हुई (concave) होती है; ऐसे लेंस सामान्यतः प्रकाश किरणों को फैलाते (diverge) हैं।
