Definition
Pisachi refers to a malevolent female spirit/demon found in Indian and related South Asian traditions, often depicted as haunting cremation grounds, causing fear, madness, or possession, and sometimes described as a witch-like ogress.
पिसाची भारतीय तथा दक्षिण एशियाई परंपराओं में मिलने वाली एक दुष्ट स्त्री-आत्मा/राक्षसी का नाम है, जिसे अक्सर श्मशान या एकांत स्थानों में भटकने वाली, भय, उन्माद या आवेश/अधिकार (possession) कराने वाली, तथा चुड़ैल-सी राक्षसी के रूप में वर्णित किया जाता है।
